I recently visited New York, one of my dream cities I must confess. However, I could only stay for one night in Big Apple because early next morning I had to be at the airport to continue my journey back home. But in the short time I got to see the streets of New York I must say that I was ablsolutely fascinated by this wonderful city. The outside lighting on the city is something that cannot be described with words. There are skyscrapers which are look so beautiful with their lights that it makes you fee that you are in a ferry tale. And even during then night there were a lot of cars on the street which really surprised me because back home after 10 in the night you can barely see anybody outside. Now I really understand why it’s called the city that never sleeps.

After walking for about two hours in the central part of the city I ventured a little o the side streets to see how average people live there. I really expected to see a lot of dark alleys where homeless people take refuge,  but instead I only saw clean residential areas. And the only parts which seemed to be dark quickly lit up when I came close by because there were a lot of motion detector lights which were only activated if people passed by them. That was something completely new to me. I would have staid for longer in order to examine the city in greater details but the night was almost over and I had to head back to the airport to continue my journey.
